What is HIFU
HIFU, short for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound, is a new non-surgical, non-invasive method of skin rejuvenation and lifting.
As the aging process begins, our skin loses collagen and elastin, causing it to become loose or sagging. HIFU uses ultrasound technology and the body's own natural healing process to tighten and tone loose skin on the face or body. Using its technical features, High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is able to reach a specific point below the skin's surface where it reaches the SMAS layer (muscle layer). It works deep below the epidermis at the target level, stimulating collagen growth, without any damage to the outer layer of the skin. Different Types of HIFU Cartridges

1.5mm cartridge: transmits high-intensity focused ultrasound energy into the superficial dermis at a skin depth of 1.5mm for use on the face and neck.
3.0mm cartridge: transmits high-intensity focused ultrasound energy into the deep dermis at a skin depth of 3.0mm, primarily for activating collagen in the deep dermis. It can be used on the forehead, chin, and neck and is very effective in tightening the skin, shrinking pores and removing wrinkles.
4.5mm cartridge: high intensity focused ultrasound energy is transmitted into the SMAS (Superficial Musculotendinous System) at a skin depth of 4.5 mm and is primarily used to activate collagen in the SMAS layer. It targets thick skin layers such as the cheeks.
